Hey guys! I'm leaving for State Shoot tonight and I won't be back for a few days and so I won't be posting until I come back.
Hey guys! Well, this week I only had orientation for my ONLINE school and next week I start my school work. Tomorrow evening, my sisters, mom and I are going to the 4-H annual State Shoot. Since it is in Alexandria, we will be staying at our aunt's house in Willmar. I can't wait; I get to drive!!!Kirsten and I have .22 Rifle shoot at 7:45 in the morning on Saturday; then Katie has archery shoot at 7:45 in the morning on Sunday and Kirsten has archery shoot at 10 on Sunday. On Saturday we will stay all day, until the potluck at 6:30 that evening. Then on Sunday I think we will be leaving for home after Kirsten's shoot and probably go through the drive-thru on the way home(I hope). Let's just hope that we won't be too tired to shoot that early in the morning. I am SOOO not a morning person. I prefer to sleep in til 8 am, but with school starting up again, I have to get back into the swing of things. And it will be hardest when winter rolls around and the sun gets up at 7 instead of 6:30. Well, ttyl
Happy Labor Day, everyone! We actually celebrated labor day yesterday at my aunts cabin on Lake Norway. My cousin, Ken, took us out on their jet ski. My sisters and brother rode on the inner tube that they tied to the back of it. After everyone was done on the tube, Ken gave me a ride on the jet ski. It was fun, but he was doing some crazy stuff; like sharply turning in circles to make waves and going over those. I think out of all my male cousins, Ken is my favorite. I think it is because he has a fun-playing personality. Well anyway, after all of the jet ski rides were over, we had supper and headed home. Now today we are doing chores! ug Well, I had my first behind the wheel lesson yesterday.....in the rain. Anyways, the driving instructor said that I am a good driver; that I am relaxed and don't tense up. I just need to work on a few things. But I got a good start on my parking; I did good on keeping both hands on the wheel, steers smoothly, acceleration, braking and speed control. She said that my complete stops are perfect, but I need to know where to stop. Other than that I did really good with my driving.
Hey all! State Fair General Encampment starts today. The general encampment is basically for the people who didn't bring their livestock and aren't in Performing Arts; but they made like boards on certain topics, canned foods, clothing, etc. Well sometime tomorrow morning, after breakfast, I have my judging on my board. Then my sister and I will probably walk around a lot after lunch. And later that evening, my sister will have judging on her board.
I'm a little nervous because I haven't been to such a large fair and staying overnight without my parents. Well, I have to eat lunch and be on my way. ~Elizabeth Went to the State Fair yesterday with my family. We had a blast; but got really tired, hot and sweaty. We left the house at about 8:30 and got to the fair grounds at about 9:30. Spent most of the day walking around, looking at the exhibits and eating greasy junk food. But I look forward to it every year. And then, my sister and I will be going back tomorrow evening for the start of our encampment; I know it sounds a little strict when I use that word but I guess I could say it is basically a three day over night camp.
My sister and I also took a look at the girls dorms with our mom. There are LOTS of bunk beds, I'd say at least 50, all in rows in this very large room. I don't know where we are supposed to eat our meals yet (not including on the fair grounds). My friend, who has done this before, says that there is a cafeteria where we eat our meals. Oh and my dad renewed his, mine and my two sister's Pheasants Forever memberships, and we got cool new hats. Well, that's it. ~Elizabeth Hey guys! I hope that all of you are excited about the State fair. Well, next Wednesday I will be there all day. In the morning, I have my judging for my board, on which I got selected to go to State Fair when I entered it in my county fair. Then I will probably spend the rest of the day walking around and looking at the sites. In the evening my sister has her judging on her board, she got Grand Champion on that.
At my county fair, when I was being judged on my board, I think I did a pretty good job because I got a blue ribbon on it and then I got selected to go on the State Trip. The county fair was fun. My sisters and I got to hang out with friends for most of one day. On the last night of the fair, my dad took my sister and I to the Demolition Derby that they have there every year. Well, I hope you guys have fun at the fair. ~Elizabeth Okay, so it is day three of my blog and I am already having trouble finding things to write about. Well to start off, we had a friend stay with us for a few nights. It was fun, she was the one who helped me set up this blog. I love her for helping me. But this blog won't be all movie reviews. Probably some book reviews and some fun events happening in my somewhat exciting life. I have a few books in mind to review. Well, that's all folks. I would just like to say that Marvel Universe makes AWESOME movies. Last night, I was watching 'The Avengers' (for the 10th time) with my sisters and friend. I just absolutely love the movie. My favorite funny scene is when Hulk throws Loki around like a ragdoll. So here are the funniest scenes from the movie: I hope you laughed along with me.
